The third annual HBCU Swingman Classic will lead off festivities of 2025 MLB All-Star Week in the coming months, but fans can get their hands on tickets now. On Tuesday, the Atlanta Braves announced that tickets for the July event, which will be held at its home in Truist Park, are now on sale.
The HBCU Swingman Classic is an annual All-Star experience for baseball student-athletes from Division-I programs at Historically Black Colleges & Universities, commonly referred to as HBCUs.
The Classic will highlight the history and legacy of HBCU baseball programs and give 50 HBCU baseball players the opportunity to showcase their talent on a national stage. Those student-athletes will be picked in the near future by a committee that includes Youth Development Foundation Ambassador & Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr., and others representing the MLB, the MLBPA, and scouts.
Fans are encouraged to celebrate and bring their HBCU Pride to Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta. Festivities kick off Friday, July 11, starting at 6 p.m. Central and will be broadcast live on MLB Network.
