Savannah State plays Albany State in the first-ever HBCU Coastal City Classic

Savannah State Tigers Football will compete in the first-ever HBCU Coastal City Classic against Albany State later this year at Glynn County Stadium. The city held a press conference with members of the coaching staff and athletic directors on Friday afternoon. Classic weekend will feature the Coastal City Classic Golf Tournament, Coaches Luncheon and on game day a pre-game Greek feast, pep rally and celebrity pre-game concert. The halftime show features the Battle of the Bands. The first HBCU Coastal City Classic Football game between the Golden Rams and Tigers is scheduled for September 23 and will be televised nationally on the Peacock Channel.
