Qwahsin Townsel Invited to Play in Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl

Hampton linebacker Qwahsin Townsel has been invited to play in the 2024 Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl. The game will feature the HBCU best players and will be played on Feb. 24, 2024 at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, La. The game will be televised on the NFL Network.
Townsel played at Villanova before coming to Hampton. In 2022, he led the Pirates with 100 total tackles and was a preseason All-Coastal Athletic Association pick this year. He is currently third in the conference in tackles.
The Black College Football Hall of Fame and the National Football League will also hold the HBCU Combine on February 19 at the New Orleans Saints practice facility, Ochsner Sports Performance Center.
The Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl, presented by Black College is a postseason all-star game showcasing the best NFL draft-eligible football players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. It is broadcast live on NFL Network. More than a football game, the week-long celebration of Black culture and history provides invaluable exposure for HBCU students.
